The main objective is to advance our understanding of virulence mechanisms of viruses affecting farmed Atlantic salmon and the host's responses upon infection. Understanding the complex network of cellular antiviral processes and virus-host interactions will facilitate improved vaccination strategies against virus infection in farmed fish.
