Greenbait - Progress toward environmentally safer rodenticides

Research on presence of rodenticides in the environment and search for safer options.

Control of rodent pests worldwide relies heavily on anticoagulant rodenticides (AR). However, due to their widespread use and environmental persistence, they have demonstrated adverse effects in non-target animals, like foxes, cats, dogs, wolfs, wolverines, and predatory birds like owls and hawks.

Goals:

Map the current state of the environmental pollution with 2nd generation ARs and assess the threat to biodiversity.
