Horizon CL-6-2004-FARM2FORK-01-4
There are models available to predict the occurrence of mycotoxins in some crop plants, but not all main crops. Furthermore, there is also a need to improve existing models. In addition, the diet is continuously changing and there is development of new food products that may have different level of mycotoxins leading to a change in dietary intake of mycotoxins.
The main aim of MyMatch is to develop a predictive tool relying on accurate climate change scenarios to anticipate the increase in mycotoxin occurrence in European food systems. The tool will target the need of farmers, food industries and policymakers and provide mycotoxin occurrence prediction scenarios, updated mitigation approaches and risk assessment related to food safety threats caused by climate change-induced mycotoxin exposure.
