Torill Moseng new director of the Norwegian Veterinary Institute

The board of the Norwegian Veterinary Institute (NVI) has appointed Torill Moseng (55) as its new managing director from 1. October 2021. Moseng has since 2014 been the president of the Norwegian Veterinary Association.

-I am very grateful to have the opportunity to lead NVIs highly competent staff, in brand new facilities at the new headquarters at Ås. In addition, I am passionate about the institute’s important societal mission of realizing the goal of good health for animals, fish and humans, says Torill Moseng.

Moseng graduated as a veterinarian from the Norwegian School of Veterinary Science, currently a part of the Norwegian University of Life Sciences (NMBU) that is co-located with NVI at Ås. Since 2014, she has worked full-time as president of the Norwegian Veterinary Association. She has held several international positions, including now vice president of the European Veterinary Organisation.  Moseng has a long professional practice as a veterinarian.
