LIMBO

AMR presents a constant challenge, a struggle between changing biological, environmental, social, and economic systems, and the development of systems to prevent AMR. Through socio-economic modelling and developing of plausible future scenarios, LIMBO will identify critical success factors. The aim of the project is to develop strategies and policy recommendations, which will be robust in any future scenarios for managing AMR in animal agriculture.

Louse Off 2 - Cost effective sea lice vaccine; development and efficacy evaluation

Louse off 2 will further develop and optimize salmon vaccine candidates for the purpose of producing a viable commercial vaccine.

Louse Off 1 - Sea lice vaccine development through innovation

Louse off 1 aims at identifying salmon lice antigens (proteins) that can be used in an effective vaccine against salmon lice.

MortMonitor - Understanding and monitoring mortality in farmed fish towards sustainable growth in aquaculture

The project will help the industry, the authorities and others to understand what drives mortality in the aquaculture industry. The aim of this is to highlight what opportunities the industry has for limiting the mortality in the production of farmed fish.

MucoPath – mucosal pathogenesis and pathogens

MucoPath primarily wishes to study host-pathogenic interaction at/in mucous surfaces of salmon. Further, we will undertake the development of biological (infection) models and analytical tools and methods that can support this primary goal.

MucoProtect - Novel bio-mimicking nanocarriers for oral delivery of mucosal vaccines - protection at the first line of defence

In MucoProtect we will develop novel, clever vaccines based on nanoparticles, tailored for oral vaccination.

MycoSafeBread

The main aim in MycoSafeBread is to develop a combination of new milling technology and mycotoxin-reducing processing to manufacture bread products tailored for young children, with an absolute minimum of the mycotoxin DON, while meeting the recommendations for wholegrain consumption and nutrient composition.

Necrotic enteritis in turkeys: Prophylactic measures, early detection and non-antibiotic treatments

The main aim of this project ist to contribute to improved gut health and reduced usage of antibiotics in Norwegian fattening turkeys.
