Past research projects

MHC-Vert

Characterization of antigen presentation in salmon.

MucoPath – mucosal pathogenesis and pathogens

MucoPath primarily wishes to study host-pathogenic interaction at/in mucous surfaces of salmon. Further, we will undertake the development of biological (infection) models and analytical tools and methods that can support this primary goal.

MycoSafeBread

The main aim in MycoSafeBread is to develop a combination of new milling technology and mycotoxin-reducing processing to manufacture bread products tailored for young children, with an absolute minimum of the mycotoxin DON, while meeting the recommendations for wholegrain consumption and nutrient composition.

Pasteurellosis in Norwegian salmon

Disease caused by Pasteurella spp. pathogenic for fish has become increasingly widespread in recent years. A three-year project led by the Norwegian Veterinary Institute and financed by the Norwegian Seafood Research Fund (FHF) will provide more knowledge of these bacteria and control of disease.
