Two new Tularemia cases

Two new cases of Tularemia in a hare, also known as 'rabbit fever', in Østlandet region was confirmed this week. In total there has been four cases of the disease this year in Østlandet. Analysis and autopsy performed at the National Veterinary Institute confirmed the diagnosis.

Tularemia can be transferred to humans, and the public is advised not to touch dead or sick animals in the wild or drink untreated water.
