The Salmonella situation in Norway has been surveilled by the National Veterinary Institute since 1995. Although the number of samples are high there is very little Salmonella found.

The results for 2007 is similar to results in previous years. On average only 0,3 % of the herds under examination were positive for Salmonella in the years the surveillance has been in effect.
