Scrapie Nor 98 in the county of Rogaland

The National Veterinary Institute in Norway has detected Scrapie of the Nor98 variant in a female sheep in the Sandnes municipality of county Rogaland.

The disease was detected as a result of a random sampling in slaughtered animals older then 18 months, during sampling for the surveillance and control program for scrapie in small ruminants in Norway.
